CANADIENS WANT MORE FANS IN ATTENDANCE FOR THE SERIES AGAINST VEGAS

JUN 12, 2021  (8H16)      T. TADI
The Canadiens won't be back at the Bell Centre in Montreal until Game 3 of their third-round series against the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday, June 18th, but the team has reportedly urged the Quebec government and health regulators to allow more supporters to attend.

Since Game 6 of the first round versus Toronto, Montreal has allowed approximately 12% of the Bell Centre's capacity to be used for home games. The Canadiens will try to increase the number of people in attendance, which is capped at 2,500.

Quebec's health department received the request this week and did not give any further details as to how many fans the Canadiens want in the arena.

With Vegas allowing 100% capacity at T-Mobile Arena, the Canadiens face a stiff test during Games one and two, but with help from the Quebec government and health officials, they have an opportunity to create a hostile atmosphere in the Bell Centre for the visiting Golden Knights.
